ETHICAL CODE OF CONDUCT
We are committed to upholding our ethical and professional conduct standards, and we expect our suppliers and subcontractors to share these values and adhere to the same principles.
At TayTayMerch, we respect the fundamental dignity of every individual. We have a responsibility to ensure that everyone who works for or with us is treated with dignity and respect in a supportive and respectful environment.
We strive to create an inclusive workplace that welcomes individuals from all backgrounds and identities. This includes, but is not limited to, people of any sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, race, ethnicity, culture, nationality, social and economic class, education level, color, immigration status, sex, age, body size, family status, political belief, religion, and mental and physical ability.
At TayTayMerch, we are committed to acting with integrity. We keep our promises, take responsibility for our actions, and conduct ourselves with respect and honesty. Integrity fosters open communication between employers, employees, and partners.
We respect the right of our employees to freely associate. We do not restrict them from joining any organizations, unions, or worker associations that promote the rights of employees and workers in a fair and honest manner.
TayTayMerch has a zero-tolerance policy for harassment and intimidation. We do not accept threats of violence, psychological abuse, personal insults (especially those based on race or gender), unwelcome sexual attention, or any form of intimidation or suppression.
We do not accept child labor and are committed to ensuring that all workers employed by us and our subcontractors are of legal working age. We reject any work that deprives children of their childhood, potential, education, and dignity, and anything that harms their physical and mental development.
We do not use forced labor. Employees have the right to leave their jobs under reasonable circumstances, such as personal or family emergencies. No labor should be required as a means of repaying a debt. We do not support forced or bonded labor, trafficking, or any form of exploitation.
All employees must have a written employment contract that includes a clear and complete summary of employment terms, including wages, benefits, and working conditions. Labor contracts should extend to subcontracted employees, and no employee should be asked to sign blank documents. Apprentices must work under a legitimate apprenticeship agreement.
We respect the right of employees to earn a living wage and ensure that wages paid meet at least legal standards and are sufficient to meet the basic needs of employees and their families. Payroll records are maintained for at least two years. Wages are paid regularly, on time, and in a manner that is convenient for the workers. Wage deductions as a disciplinary measure are not accepted.
We adhere to local laws regarding working hours and do not require employees to work more than 40 hours per week on a regular basis. Employees are entitled to at least two days off for every seven-day period. Overtime is voluntary, should not exceed 12 hours per week, and is always compensated at a premium wage rate.
The safety of our employees is our top priority. We ensure that our work environment is safe and free from hazardous or insufferable conditions. Our suppliers must also provide a safe workplace for their employees, complying with all relevant regulations and laws. We provide them with a Chemical Compliance Policy and a Restricted Substances List (RSL) that they must follow when working for us.
