Ethical sourcing and environmental responsibility are taytaymerch’s bottom line.

Taytaymerch is a slow fashion brand inspired by nature and music. We are committed to using knitted fabrics to create everything that makes you feel comfortable. Based on woolen sweaters, we build a trustworthy brand. We firmly believe that ethical production and environmental responsibility are the cornerstones of our long-termism and the soul that makes our community proud. Thank you for accompanying us on this long journey.

  • people are everything

The Taytaymerch team always believes that love, respect, and tolerance can bring positive energy to partners and customers. In the office, in the factory, and in the flow of goods, our spirit of mutual care is conveyed.

We provide every employee with fair working hours and conditions that are consistent with international human rights law. To ensure supply chain transparency, we have permanent staff on site at our factories to ensure our worker are paid fairly, have safe working conditions, and build meaningful connections over the long term.

It all starts with fibers and fabrics, so we work hard to source materials that meet our expectations without harming animals or relying on harmful chemicals and cultivation practices. If we can’t find what we’re looking for, we develop it ourselves.

We’ve transitioned to 100% organic cotton for more than 99% of our cotton products.

Kuala Lumpur-Malaysia

Our partner in Malaysia is located in Kuala Lumpur, a female-owned family business. Here we produce lightweight, soft and embroidered garments.

The factory is certified by the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) and has implemented the following systems to make the factory more sustainable and environmentally friendly.

Rainwater Harvesting – The collection and storage of rainwater for reuse on site rather than letting it run off.

Solar panels – This significantly reduces the energy output of the factory.

Wastewater Treatment Plant – Purifies industrial wastewater for reuse, reducing the use of fresh water in factories.

They take sustainability and ecological responsibility very seriously. In order to produce cleaner products without generating hazardous waste, only Bluesign and Oeko Tex approved chemicals can be used in the dyeing and finishing production process. ) they are developing a so-called “green machine” to separate cotton-polyester blends and thereby recycle polyester in textiles. In the coming years, there is a commitment to continuously strengthen environmental and sustainable development.

Our Chinese supplier is located in Quanzhou, the starting point of the Maritime Silk Road. They have long supplied knitted garments to luxury goods companies and international clothing brands and have their own in-house factory, so no work is outsourced. Their team’s salary is medium to high in the region where China is located, and their salary is increasing every year. Team salaries vary depending on the department they work for. For example, wages in the sewing department are higher than in the packaging department. We have worked with this supplier on recent knitwear runs and visited the factory to learn about the working conditions and gain a greater understanding of the team’s wages.

  • Green earth

The fashion and textile industry stands for a significant part of the world’s greenhouse gas emissions. Production, transport, use and disposal of textile products generate a huge amount of emissions of greenhouse gases that contribute to global warming, without a doubt enough to demand rapid action

Our Package are made of 80% post-consumer content and eligible for single-stream recycling. Additionally, we’ve transitioned all retail price tickets and gift boxes to a 100% post-consumer waste paper stock.

We don’t stock a lot of products. We have a relatively fast capacity to produce more quantities when a product runs out of stock (in-house manufacturing advantages) and this allow us to reduce the waste of unsold styles. If that happens for some reason, we first try to recycle those garments and to create new styles from them and lastly, we donate them to local associations.
