Designed around the visual language of 1989 Taylor’s Version, this cardigan balances graphic embroidery with controlled knit structure. The silhouette follows a relaxed proportion that layers cleanly, supported by stable stitch density that holds shape without stiffness.

At the left chest, a square gradient patch reading “1989 Taylor’s Version” with the seagull motif anchors the design. The embroidery is sharply defined against the base knit, creating a focal point without disrupting the overall palette. Each sleeve is finished with five tonal stars at the elbow — an intentional expansion of the original folklore star placement, referencing the fifth studio era through repetition and scale.

Cuffs, hem, collar, and front placket are framed with a narrow contrast knit inset positioned just inside the edge. This secondary band introduces depth and structure to the silhouette, echoing archival cardigan construction while updating the color balance.
